An animator produces multiple images called frames. When sequenced together rapidly, these frames create an illusion of movement known as animation.
We would see these peoples work in magazines, newspapers and movies.
The software used is computer animation uses software known as CGI.
Being an animator you must need to know how to deal with 3d objects and create films.
